I always return for my city breaks at this lovely lodge. It has everything I need - Wi-Fi, free parking, and a well-equipped kitchen. The staff even helped me with bug spray on my first stay. I have no regrets!

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and the owner's photography was incredible. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had a sitting area to escape the rain. The hotel facilities were great, including the open fireplace in the foyer and the tea/coffee station in the dining room. The location was perfect - quiet and with stunning views, but still a short drive into town for meals.
Nothing that we didn't like.

Sound Bar in the room: I felt like I was in my own personal movie theater with the 43-inch 4K TV and Sound Bar. The surround sound truly elevated my movie-watching experience, making it feel like I had front-row seats to the action. It was a cinematic delight!
Breakfast menu: Limited options at breakfast, only one choice per person.

I absolutely loved the way the lodge was decorated. The beautiful photographs on the walls really added a touch of elegance to the place. The common areas were cozy and inviting, especially the lobby fireplace where I enjoyed sitting and chatting with other guests. The lodge was also very accessible for senior people like myself, with all the amenities close by and easy to reach. It was a perfect setting for a relaxing and peaceful vacation.
It would have been even better if the children working there had more knowledge about the local area. It would have been nice to have some recommendations for activities or attractions that are particularly suitable for senior visitors.

The decoration at this lovely B&B was absolutely charming, with beautiful works of art displayed throughout the lodge. The general areas were cozy and comfortable, providing a pleasant atmosphere to relax and socialize. As a senior woman, I found the accessibility of the hotel to be excellent, with easy access to all areas without any stairs or obstacles.
It would have been even better if the children working there had provided more assistance and guidance specifically tailored for senior guests.

The decor at Manakau Lodge is simply charming and inviting. The cozy fireplace in the lobby creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and enjoying a cup of tea. The general areas of the lodge are well-maintained and offer a comfortable space to socialize with other guests. As a senior woman, I appreciated the lodge's accessibility, with easily navigable walkways and handrails in key areas, ensuring a safe and enjoyable stay.
I would have loved to see more assistance from the children working there in terms of arranging transportation to nearby restaurants. While the lodge itself provides a peaceful retreat, it would have been convenient to have a dining option on-site, especially for senior guests who prefer not to venture too far from their accommodation.
